Bomb threat causes lockdown at Raymond High School

Update: Reports indicate that the lockdown has been lifted and no explosives were found at the scene.

Original Report:

Raymond High School in Hinds County has been placed on lockdown after a bomb threat was made early this morning.

Major Pete Luke with the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office says that the lockdown began after a parent received a text message from someone threatening to blow up the school. Officers and federal agents will be working to determine the origin of the text threat.

Law enforcement is on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
