COLUMBUS, MISS– Making a false bomb threat to a local hospital is why Michael Anthony Sparks is in jail.
A call was made to the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle Friday. Police say Sparks was on the other line and told the hospital that he placed a bomb there that would blow within fifteen minutes. People were evacuated and the building was searched but nothing was found. Sparks was later picked up at a relative’s house by the FBI.
