Bond Denied for Man Charged in Fatal Crash that Injured EMT

Jackson, Miss. — Bond has been denied for a Jackson man facing two counts of DUI and contempt of court. Back in July Robert Howard crashed, killing Jessie Thomas who was on a gurney, injured from a previous wreck. He also injured Jennifer Hesselbein, a paramedic who was on scene.
Lab results showed that Howard had a blood alcohol level of .02 with traces of cocaine, hydrocodone, and some kind of sleeping medication.

Hesselbein is still in the hospital, has been through 7 surgeries so far. She has several more to come.
