No Bond for Fisherman Shooter

BRANDON, Miss.- Cregg Puckett was charged with aggravated assault after shooting a man that was fishing on his property March 23. He was denied bond by a judge Tuesday morning.

The pond Thomas Presley was at that weekend lied on two different properties and apparently, he wasn’t on the side that he had permission to be on. Investigators said, Puckett was accused of shooting Thomas Presley six times.

A judge recommended, for a second time, that Puckett undergo a psychological exam and suggested he seek anger management counseling.

Puckett has two previous arrests for simple assault, but no convictions, court officials told WAPT.

Presley was recently released from a local hospital.
