A stabbing in the Capitol city has police searching for the ones who held the knife.

Officials say just before 8:30 a.m. on Maria Drive they were called to a home in the area. When they arrived they found a 23-year-old that had injuries to his left shoulder and just under his left arm.

Police say the incident happened as a result of an altercation between two men in the home.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injures. They appear to be non life-threatening at this time.

Police are still searching for the 27-year-old suspect who fled the house before officers arrived.

The suspect is still at large.  Investigators are currently working to verify identity before his information is released as being wanted in connection with this crime.  An update will be made available once that happens.
