Car chase ends with a crash in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss.- It was only a matter of time before police officers crossed Jackson city lines in pursuit of a suspect.

A Hinds County deputy was involved in a car crash with five innocent people after coming from Richland in pursuit of a stolen vehicle. Richland police were able to apprehend Travis Williamson and Christopher Jenkins after the chase.

Comments were quick to come from Councilman Kenneth Stokes. He says that law enforcement should have never put civilians lives at risk and he plans to take legal action in federal court. He believes these chases are civil rights violations.
