Claiborne County– Claiborne County schools could be back in the hands of the local school board by July 1st.
The state had taken over after numerous issues with accredidation. Mississippi School Boards Association and the Mississippi Department of Education met with the local officials Friday. Nothing is being done, just seeing what the plan is. Leflore, Tunica, and Aberdeen school districts are still under the state’s control.
