Clayton Kelly Trial to Begin Monday, Accused of Snapping Rose Cochran Photos

MADISON, Miss.–Trial was set to begin Monday for Clayton Kelly, a political blogger who is accused of breaking into St. Catherine’s Village to snap photos of Rose Cochran, the late wife of U.S> Sen. Thad Cochran.

That happened on Easter Sunday last year.

Kelly, of Pearl, is charged with burglary. He was originally charged with exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

It happened as Cochran’s husband, U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran was running for re-election against state Sen. Chris McDaniel. Cochran won the race.

Cochran had Alzheimer’s disease and had been at the facility since 2000, and had been confined to her bed for some time.
