College Football in Mississippi: Ole Miss Pulls Out a Win, State Keeps it Tight in the Second Half, USM Beats Austin Peay

OXFORD, Miss.–The Ole Miss Rebels’ quarterback Chad Kelly was being credited with helping them pull off a win over Fresno State Saturday, while Mississippi State nearly beat the LSU Tigers, keeping it tight in the second half.

Ole Miss and Fresno State 73 to 21 the final on that one Saturday.

State played it close in the last half of the LSU State game, losing 21 to 19 to the Tigers.

Southern Miss with their first win Saturday over Austin Peay, 52 to 6, the credit going to three touchdown passes by quarterback Nick Mullens.

Delta State had the win over Texas AM Commerce 51 to 44 Saturday/

Jackson State took the loss to Tennessee State 35 to 25.

Alcorn pulled off the win over Alabama State out of Montgomery 31 to 14.
