Columbus Man Facing Cyberstalking Charge

COLUMBUS, Miss.- Police have identified the man in connection with a cyberstalking warrant. 34-year-old Damion Hampton was taken into custody Wednesday, after he had to be pulled out of an apartment by the Columbus S.W.A.T. team.

Police say he ran into the apartment and refused to come out, which is what required the services of the SWAT team, along with Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department.

While the details are unclear at this point, Hampton faces charges of cyberstalking, possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of a controlled substance in the case.
