Two of the Four Jackson Jail Escapees Back in Custody

JACKSON, Miss.- Police say they’ve caught two of the four inmates that escaped from the jail in downtown Jackson early Thursday morning. The prisoners allegedly climbed out of one of the windows on the top floor using tied-together bed sheets. Officials are saying the window they escaped from had been damaged.

Police have caught 16-year-old Cornelius Carter who had been in for aggravated assault on a police officer; and 16-year-old Airick Toins, who had been in for aggravated assault since January.

The two that are on the run are 17-year-old Tyree Bailey, who had been in for armed robbery since November; and 17-year-old Kevin Holmes, who had been in for armed robbery since May.
