JONES COUNTY, Miss.- A Jones County couple was arrested and charged with arson Tuesday morning.
Witnesses told police the homeowners, Travis and Lisa Nicholson, were seen leaving the property just minutes before the fire broke out.
Firefighters put out the mobile home fire on Watermelon Road in Ovett Sunday. The fire investigator told WDAM, the couple admitted to setting their home on fire.
Bond was set at $7,500 each. Police and fire officials are still investigating the case.
