Cruisin’ the Coast: Bringing Classic Cars, Big Bucks for Business, and Music from All Over the Country

BILOXI, MISS– The annual Cruisin the Coast is happening now on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and it’s packed from Pascagoula to Ocean Springs with everything classic car, food, entertainment, and culture that makes it so unique. *Photo by Kipp Greggory*

Labeled “The World’s Biggest Block Party,” Cruisin’ the Coast boasts classic cars and trucks from every state and from around the world. This year, nearly 8,000 cars registered, but there’s more.

“There’s easily another 10,000 cars that didn’t register, that are just here to ride around,” says Kevin Riley of Dad’s Super Pawn.

All those cars means lots of folks eating, getting gas, going to the casinos and renting hotel rooms along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All that generates huge revenue for local businesses.

“When everyone comes down here with their classic cars or to just admire their classic cars, it’s great for business, all along the Gulf Coast,” says Shay Smith with Harrah’s Casino.

Cruisin’ the Coast isn’t just about the business, it’s about the people coming together to celebrate classic American culture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. With thousands of people and thousands of cars, there’s bound to be plenty of entertainment. To see the full list of Cruisin’ the Coast events, check out http://cruisinthecoast.com/schedule/.
