Daily Digital: Protest at Ole Miss, Skydiving Shows, and Ben Howland

The biggest story today is probably going to be the protest at Ole Miss in favor of rehiring former Chancellor Dan Jones, who was fired last week only 5 days after returning from Chemotherapy. He was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in November.
Now, if you’re a skydiving fan, or you just think it’s cool, Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi is opening its doors this weekend for a big show. It will be Saturday and Sunday, and you can go see the aircraft, the base, and the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachuting. So you can head on down to Biloxi for that this weekend.
And yes, it was announced earlier this week that Ben Howland will be the next head basketball coach at Mississippi State. Howland is coming to Starkville from UCLA, where he took them to 3 straight Final 4 appearances from 06-08. Now that is in Southern California, so a little bit of a culture shock will be in store for him. He was introduced to the school yesterday and threw out the first pitch at their baseball game against USM last night
Which by the way The Golden Eagles shut the Bulldogs down, 3-0 behind RBI’s from Matt Durst, Tim Lynch, and a new guy, Daniel Keating. This snapped a 6-game losing streak to the Bulldogs.
