District 1 Senator arrested in Olive Branch

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss.- Chris Massey, District 1 Senator, has been arrested in Olive Branch on felony aggravated assault charges. 

Massey was picked up and booked by the Olive Branch Police Department on Thursday.

His bond was set at $10,000 according Olive Branch Police Chief Don Gammage.

“Around 10:55 a.m. Olive Branch officers responded to the Windstone subdivision in Olive Branch Mississippi where a physical altercation had occurred,” said Gammage.

Massey’s father Jackie Massey was also arrested on assault charges. Police also took in Marcus Lane, arrested for aggravated assault and  Anthony Smith arrested for simple assault.

Massey is the Chairperson for the Ethics Committee and also serves on the Housing, Education, Finance, Highways and Transportation, Labor, Municipalities, Tourism, and Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks committees.
