Educators learning new strategies

BILOXI, Miss.- Educators from around the state got together in Biloxi to learn about new education strategies. 

575 educators came to the event this year that featured about 75 sessions that focused on teaching strategies, theories of learning, and technology integration in the classroom.

The Sun Herald reports that that the event was organized to build teacher’s capacities to improve literacy across the state. Recent testing, such as Common Core, those standards have encouraged schools to focus more on reading levels throughout all grades.

This conference has been going on for 45 years.
