Eleven Cars Stolen from Vicksburg Parking Lot

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Eleven vehicles were stolen out of a Vicksburg car lot Monday night.

Police are working to figure out who stole the cars that were taken from River City Auto Sales.

“We are continuing the investigation, following some promising leads, but there are no arrests at this time,” Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace told WAPT.

Authorities made progress in the case and recovered most of the vehicles.

“We have since recovered nine of those vehicles at various locations here in Warren County,” Pace said. One of the vehicles found was burned, but the other eight were running.

Three of the vehicles they recovered were taken to Steven’s Service Center so investigators could figure out who took them.

“Investigators on the scene Tuesday morning found that it appeared that the front door had been pried open. Keys were actually taken from in the business from several locations, so all the vehicles left there with keys,” Pace said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
