JACKSON, Miss. — If you plan on going to church Easter Sunday, odds are you may see some Easter lilies covering stage. What you might not know is those lilies can kill your cat. The leaf, the pollen, the flower, everything on the plant is not good for your cat.
“Its not just the Easter lily, its everything in the true lily family. If a cat finds it interesting. They’ll eat them. If they eat them, they can end up with kidney failure,” said Dr. Andrew Mack with Mississippi State University’s Veterinary Program.
He says lilies can also cause neurological problems in cat. As for dogs, they can heat a whole bunch of Easter lilies and may just vomit.
