FLOWOOD, Miss. — It was a few hours of freedom on New Year’s Eve for an inmate from Flowood, but there was not much celebrating. Jessica Peavy was on the run after escaping.
She was able to get all the way to Hattiesburg before police caught up with her around 5 p.m. Wednesday. She will spend the New Year behind bars and is facing charges of escaping.
