Escaped Inmate Wanted by JPD

JACKSON, Miss.- An escaped inmate is being sought out for by police. Jackson police are looking for 18-year-old Edward Boyd.

Boyd made a court appearance and was about to be taken back to jail when he got away from the officers and escaped. Police went to his previous home, but didn’t find him there.

Boyd was originally arrested in June after a brief standoff with JPD and Ridgeland police at the home. Boyd was wanted then for breaking into a car at the Ridgeland Municipal Court Complex.

Once arrested, Boyd will also face more charges for his escape.
