Ex-Vicksburg Mayor Out of Prison, Working At Law Office

JACKSON, Miss. – Former Vicksburg Mayor Paul Winfield is now living in a halfway house.

Winfield, who pleaded guilty in a federal bribery case in 2013, was released from a federal prison in Alabama and taken to the home in late February.  He is expected to be released in October.

Winfield, a former attorney, is currently working for Jackson lawyer Dennis Sweet, who represented him in his bribery case.
