Hattiesburg, Miss. — Folks in Hattiesburg still waiting to learn who will be their Mayor, a question election commissioners could have answered later today.
Five of 14 percent boxes were not marked and had to be set aside until poll managers can be questioned. They are set to arrive at city hall at 9 am.
For now Challenge Dave Ware maintains a 31 vote lead over Incumbent Mayor Johnny Dupree. Of the 9 ballot boxes completed Wednesday nearly 650 ballots are set to be counted.
