Man involved in Warren County Manhunt May Be A White Supremacist

VICKSBURG, Miss. – Hinds County police say the man involved in that high-speed chase and manhunt this week may be a member of the Aryan Brotherhood.  The FBI says that’s a very violent white supremacist gang, which is active in Mississippi.

The 18 hour, two county chase and hunt for William Carroll started Tuesday night after Hinds County Narcotics officers say he sped off from a traffic stop.  They chased him on I-20 into Warren County.  Carroll took the Flowers exit and hit a tree that had fallen into the road.    Police say he got out of the car and ran into the woods.  After hours of negotiations, the Mississippi Highway Patrol SWAT team finally got him to give up.  They say Carroll had a semi-automatic weapon with a 30-round clip on him at the time.

He’s now in jail facing a long list of charges including: with careless driving, felony fleeing, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute while in the possession of a firearm.
