Flooding Stops Traffic

JACKSON, Miss. — Some Mississippi roads you frequently ride on can’t be used because there’s too much rain water on them.  The Mississippi Department of Transportation closed all lanes of Highway 49 between D’Lo and Braxton Monday after it was covered by an estimated 6 to 10 inches of water from Dabbs Creek.

In Smith County, Mississippi 541 just south of Mississippi 13 was shut down because of water over the road at Strong River.
