Earlier this week, a Perry County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 98 in the city limits of Beaumont, and arrested 41 year-old Yoel Benitez, a wanted fugitive out of Florida.
He was wanted out of Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in Vero Beach, Florida, for one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 years of age and one count of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim between the ages of 12 and 16 years of age.
Benitez is incarcerated in the Perry County Jail awaiting extradition.
