A single-car crash in Hinds County has taken the life of a Utica man. The crash occurred in the early morning hours of Tuesday and Hinds County Sheriff officers were called to the scene of the accident at 5044 Duke Road in Utica.

22-year-old Dangelo Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Deputy Coroner after it appears that his car lost control, left the road and hit a tree.

Officials say that Williams was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the crash. An initial investigation by the Hinds County Officials says that speed and foggy weather conditions were a potential cause of the fatal crash.
