TUPELO, Miss. – The Lee County Sheriff’s Department reported that a former Lee County Adult Jail detention officer has been charged with felony sexual assault.
Andy Dustin Jackson, 23, was charged with having sex with an inmate. He went before Judge Thomas Gardner in the Circuit Court without an attorney where he admitted to having sex with a female prisoner in September of 2016.
Sheriff Jim Johnson said Jackson’s contact with the woman began on August 8, 2016 when she was booked at the facility, but the sexual interaction did not occur until September 8th.
The two had intercourse in the jail’s medical office. Both have admitted to the act, however, the inmates identity has not been released.
Jackson is out on a $3,500 bond.
