Friday weather rundown 8-4-17: rain returns statewide

North Mississippi seeing a partial return to the summer rain cycle today: partly cloudy this morning but look for afternoon thunderstorms to crop up across the area. looking at a 50/50 chance of getting wet. Your temperatures not too bad, though: only reaching the upper 80s for your high. Tonight cooling to the lower 60s, so you may even catch a chill. Tomorrow bright sunshine with a high pushing 90, with a better chance for rain on Sunday.

Across the central part of the state, mostly cloudy for your Friday. Highs will reach the 90 degree mark in some areas. An afternoon shower isn’t completely out of the cards, but don’t expect much if you get anything. Tomorrow partly cloudy, highs returning to 90. Sunday, look for plenty of rain to wash through the area.

South Mississippi seeing partly cloudy skies through the Pine Belt this morning, with rain dancing along the Gulf Coast. Expect plenty more showers to develop throughout your day, especially after lunch.
