In less than two months, Golden Manufacturing in Tishomingo county has been awarded a second contract to produce uniforms for the military.

Mississippi’s U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith says this contract, worth 15.9 million dollars, was awarded for the production of uniforms for the Navy. Another contract, awarded in March and worth 18.2 million, was awarded to Golden for the manufacture of uniforms for the Army and Air Force.

Hyde-Smith says, “Golden Manufacturing and its workforce will use this new contract to continue producing quality uniforms for the U.S. Armed Forces. This second contract is further proof of the strong workforce in Mississippi and our commitment to our servicemen and women.”

Hyde-Smith serves on the Senate Appropriations Committee.
