Governor’s Prayer Luncheon Will Cover Race and Faith

JACKSON, Miss. — The Governor’s Prayer Luncheon, sponsored by Mission Mississippi, will be held next week in the capital city.

It’s an event that the organization has hosted for the last 14 years for Mississippians to gather to pray for Gov. Phil Bryant and other state leaders.

Gov. Bryant, along with U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, will share their perspectives on race and faith at the luncheon.

“Race matters, but grace matters more, grace is greater than race,” said Mission Mississippi President Neddie Winters. “For fourteen years we have brought together Christians from around the state to pray for our governor and state leaders.”

The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 30 at the Jackson Convention Complex and is open to the public.

Tickets are $45 each and can be purchased online at www.missionmississippi.org.
