Graduation rates on the rise

JACKSON, Miss.- Graduation rates are on the rise in Mississippi, according to the Mississippi Department of Education.

Last year high school graduation rates were at 78.4 percent. This year, the school districts showed a four-year graduation rate of 80.8 percent, an over two percet increase.

This is also a record high for the state in high school graduation during the recently completed school year.
