YAZOO COUNTY, MISS–Tyrone Grant has been arrested and charged in the death of his grandmother, 84 year-old Velma Granderson. (photo from Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department)Police say Grant doused Granderson’s bedroom with gasoline and started the fire. Grant is in the Yazoo County lockup, charged with arson and capital murder and will make an initial court appearance today.
Meanwhile Granderson’s body is at the crime lab for an autopsy.
