Mississippi Weekend: Plenty to do All Over the State

JACKSON, MISS– If you’re looking to have some fun this weekend, there’s plenty to do around the state. 

You can kick the weekend off in Meridian at the Jimmie Rogers Memorial Museum. This weekend only, there’s free admission to celebrate Jimmie Rogers’ birthday. The museum has his furniture, his memorabilia, and his last guitar, which the museum claims is the most famous guitar in the world. Then head to Jackson for Celtic Fest. It’s held every year at the Ag museum, and has everything you could ever want from the Irish Culture. Wrap up the weekend at the Biloxi Seafood Festival. Competition cooking, vendors, and plates upon plates of the very best of what the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer.
