As you start your day across the state, you’ll be dealing with high temperatures and a chance of rain all day long.

North Mississippi:

You’ll have mostly cloudy skies accompanied by a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s meaning you’ll have the coolest temperatures across the state today.

Moving into the night, the clouds and the chance of showers and thunderstorms will remain. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Central Mississippi:

Partly sunny skies will persist throughout the day, but a chance of showers and thunderstorms exists in your area as well. Highs will hover in the lower 90s, but heat index readings could range from 100 to 105.

Tonight, cloud coverage will begin to roll in, and you’ll still have a chance of showers and thunderstorms with lows in the mid-70s.

South Mississippi:

You get mostly sunny skies today with just a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. You’ll also see the warmest temperatures with highs in the lower 90s, and heat index readings could range from 102 to 107.

Tonight it will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid-70s.
