Investigation continues into plane crash that killed Mississippi kids

The National Transportation Safety Board has continued their investigation into the plane crash in Chatsworth, Georgia, that claimed the lives of two Corinth children and their grandparents.

Murray County Coroner Jason Gibson identified the two adults as Dexter Lee Gresham, 55 and Mary Jo Yarbrough 61. They died along with their grandchildren, Austin Day an Kinsley Wilson, both 10 years old.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Piper PA- 23 suffered an in-flight breakup during a thunderstorm while in route from Auburn, Alabama to Tennessee.

“The incident is still under investigation,” said Keith Holloway, spokesperson for the NTSB. “We do know the plane was damaged by the storm. We should have an initial report by next week.”
