In north Mississippi, there will be a heat advisory in effect from 11 a.m. this morning to 8 p.m. this evening. Today, expect mostly sunny skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon. Highs will climb into the lower to mid-90s and heat index readings will range from 101 to 106. Tonight, partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Patchy fog is expected after midnight. Lows will be in the mid-70s.

In central Mississippi, mostly sunny skies today with some patchy fog in the morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely throughout the day and highs will be in the mid-90s. “Feels like” temperatures will be anywhere from 102 to 107 and tonight expect partly cloudy skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the evening. lows will be in the mid-70s.

In south Mississippi, mostly sunny skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the lower to mid-90s and heat index readings will range from 102 to 107. In the evening, partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Lows will be in the mid-70s.
