Keeping Your Kids Safe: Child Pornography Trial Delayed for Miss. Man

OXFORD, Miss.–It’s another delay for the trial of Tyler Lofton of Lowndes County, who was arrested in April 2013 on charges he had sexual images of children on his computer. This time, it’s because one of the expert witnesses has a medical condition.

TV station WTVA reported the expert witness was one of the investigators in the case and that he would be out of work for a couple of months, so the trial has been set for June 9.

Lofton, 30, pleaded not guilty to the federal charges, after he was arrested by the Mississippi Attorney General’s Task Force on Cyber Crimes and Lowndes County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Investigators said the images on his computer go back to 2012.
