Keeping Your Kids Safe: Child Pornography Trial Wraps, Carriere Man Could Get 80 Years

CARRIERE, Miss.–If you’re a parent, probably one of your worst fears is finding out that your child has been molested. It happened for three Florida families, but the good news is that the victims were rescued, thanks to the images and videos found on James Allen Meyers’ computer. He was found guilty Wednesday of possessing and transporting child pornography into Mississippi.

Meyers, 66, lived in Florida until last year. When he moved to Carriere , Miss., Homeland Security Investigations arrested him and took his computer and other devices, where they found 20,000 images and videos. Those images were of children in sexual acts with adults.

Federal agents ID’d and located three victims in Florida.

The trial lasted three days and Meyers was found guilty. He’ll be sentenced Nov. 4.
