Keeping Your Kids Safe: Ex Mississippi Teacher Admits to Sex With Students

GULFPORT, Miss.–Taking students out of state for sex during his long career as a school teacher in Gulfport is what William Richard Pryor, 67, admitted to in court Tuesday. He pleaded guilty to two counts of taking students across state lines for sex.

He also told the court that he knew what he was doing was wrong and that he stopped doing it in 2013, reported WLOX. But, that was after years of abuse and after kids had already been hurt.

Everything heard in court Tuesday may play in to the sentencing, which is set for March 2.

Here are just a couple of things Pryor admitted to the FBI earlier this year:

The FBI affidavit was graphic in describing the sex acts. Pryor’s took his first victim from Gulfport to California, Montana, Colorado, and Oregon on “summer trips”. That victim claimed to have been molested on those trips. He said Pryor would touch his penis and “masturbate him”.

The second victim was molested in 1999 and claimed the same type of activity in Louisiana.
