KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. — Mississippi power is now saying their Kemper county coal plant will top $5 billion. That’s a lot more than the original $2.8 billion original cost projection.
If you are a Mississippi Power customer you will start seeing some return that investment when the plant starts making your power. It’s now expected to be operational in late 2014 instead of May.
