Kid Arrested for Making Terrorist Threats Against Sheriff’s Office

BYHALIA, Miss. – The calls came in back to back, a total of 8 of them to the Marshall County Sheriff’s office.  Someone with a high powered rifle and a bomb was in a Byhalia mobile home park and may have had a hostage.  The caller said if police tried to come near him, the perpetrator would hurt them and even blow up the sheriff’s office.

Deputies quickly swung into action, going door-to-door evacuating people and looking for the suspect.  A bomb squad and k-9 unit was also called in.  It turns out the caller was a child and there were no weapons or bombs.  The kid’s name and age will not be released.  But deputies have arrested him for allegedly making terrorist threats against their department.
