KKK Members Arrested in Miss. for Alabama Cross Burning

WASHINGTON — Two accused haters have been dragged out of Mississippi after they were apparently caught in a lie.

Steven Dinkle, 28, was arrested last Wednesday in Mississippi. He held the title exalted cyclops in Ozark, Alabama’s Klu Klux Klan chapter.

Dinkle’s indictment states he burned six foot tall a cross in a mostly black neighborhood in southeast Alabama back in 2009. It also says he lied to local investigators right after it happened, and then lied again to federal agents last year, claiming he quit the KKK before the burning happened.

Dinkle’s mother, Pamela Morris was also arrested for committing perjury to a grand jury. Prosecutors say she she denied being involved in Klan activity and knowing her son was involved.
