LA Hit and Run Leaves MS Man Dead, School Board President Charged

GREENSBURG, LA — A Mississippi man is dead from a hit and run over the weekend, now a Louisiana school board president is looking at felony a charge.

It happened early Saturday morning when William Lasigi, 21, of Liberty Miss, stepped out of his pickup truck in the middle of Highway 43 South near St. Helena Parish. That is when Malcolm Sibley of the Livingston Parish School Board hit him.

Sibley was booked at the St. Helena Parish Jail Sunday but since has posted bail.
