PEARL, Miss.–They would put an ad online online and travel to Pearl to meet the john, say Pearl Police, but last week seven ladies of the night became ladies behind bars. Cops said it was an effort to stamp out the world’s oldest profession in their city.

“This criminal element will not be tolerated in the city of Pearl, Miss.,” said Lt. John Johnson of the Narcotics Division of the Pearl PD. “A hard line is drawn in order to preserve the quality of life we have in our city.”
