The 2018 legislative session is right around the corner

With the budget and other big big-ticket like reforming the MAEP formula and talks of a lottery, some representatives are worried about how much legislation they will be able to get to.

Zuber said that he wants to pass a bill so that general legislation bills will only be brought up every other year.

“I have never seen a bill, in my 18-year legislative career, that was so important that it could not wait one year for passage,” said Representative Hank Zuber.

He said the bill would require general legislation to be dealt with every other year.

Zuber added that he has gotten good bi-partisan feedback and that he is looking forward to seeing what the outcome of the bill will be.
