LEAKE COUNTY, MISS– Leake County Sheriff Greg Waggoner says they’ve figured out a few details from Saturday’s family argument that led to one person dead and two people shot.
Tonya Johnson Barton was killed Saturday, Donald Johnson and Tonya’s estranged husband Luke Barton both taken to the hospital.
Sheriff Waggoner says they don’t know how or why it started just yet, but they know who fired at least a couple of shots.
“We know Mr. Barton fired some shots,” says Waggoner, “but we still have witnesses to talk to and evidence to investigate going forward.”
Waggoner says more information could come out today. News Mississippi will keep you updated as that information is released.
