Legislators late on filing campaign finance reports

The Secretary of State has published the names of legislators in the state who did not file a campaign finance disclosure report.

The release is in accordance with Mississippi Code Section 23-15-817, that requires the Secretary of State’s Office  to publish a list of all candidates for Statewide or Legislative Office who failed to file a campaign finance disclosure report by the dates specified in Section 23-15-807(b).

Individuals who failed to timely file their campaign finance report by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, and still have not filed their report to date include:

  • Cheikh A. Taylor (House District 38)

 

Individuals who failed to timely file their campaign finance report by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, but have since filed with the Secretary of State’s Office include:

  • Joe Bonelli (House District 54)
