A Light Jacket for Trick-or-Treat, Then Temperatures Plummet for Saturday Morning

JACKSON, Miss.–The coolest temperatures so far this fall are coming for Saturday morning. The cool down is expected to start just as trick-or-treat is wrapping up Friday night. If the kids costumes aren’t warm enough, bring a light jacket.

For high school football and Halloween activities, temps may still be in the 50s. But, it’s going to get much colder throughout the night.

“It’s gonna cool off through the evening hours, and then by Saturday morning, temperatures are going to fall to right around freezing,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Dan Byrd.

He said you can expect highs in the mid to upper 50s for Saturday, just a bit warmer on Sunday, and then climbing back to around 70 for Monday.

There is also some rain on the way.

“Could see some showers and thunderstorms as we get into Wednesday and Thursday of next week.”
