Living Paycheck to Paycheck

JACKSON, Miss.- Almost half of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck with small or no safety net at all. According to the Corporation for Enterprise Development, most of the financial problems fall within the Southern and Western states. Mississippi has one of the highest percentages of people that are financially insecure.

The federal government announced last month that employment growth over the past five months have grown more within that time then it has the past two years. An average of 185,000 jobs have been created, but people still fall into a pattern of immediate spending and have a difficult time saving for the future or emergencies. This leads to debt in the case of unforeseen circumstances or problems.
