Man charged for watching child in restroom

55 year-old Wayne Nobles of Hattiesburg was found guilty by a Lamar County Jury of voyeurism, which is defined as the practice of gaining sexual pleasure from watching others when they are naked or engaged in sexual activity.

The crime occurred in the restroom of a local retail establishment when Nobles exposed himself then spied with lewd and licentious purpose into the restroom stall at the 11 year-old victim.

Nobles will be sentenced on July 16th and faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

“It is a nightmare scenario for any parent that their child would be a victim of voyeurism while using a public restroom,” said District Attorney Hal Kitrell. “We appreciate the investigation on this case by the Hattiesburg Police Department and we look forward to a just sentencing on July 16th.
